  • Birth: 12thDecember, 1880
  • Birth place: Dhangora a village not so far from Sirajgonj.
  • Father: Hazi Sarafot Ali Khan.
  • Mother: Mojiron Bibi.

1880: He lost his father in his early age. He got attention of Shek Nasiruddin Boghdadi the famous Muslim mystic of the sub-continent. Then he left his home forever. He spent three years with the mystic in Badetalpa village in Mymensihgh. Then he went to Dhubri Mohokuma’s village named Jolesshor in Asam. He devoted himself in mysticism there.

1907-09: He went and stayed in “Debond Darul Ulum” in North India. He got educated in direct observation of Saykhul Hind Mawlana Mahmudul Hasan & Saykhul Islam Syeed Hossain Ahmed. He learned about the political philosophy of ‘Rabubiyater’.

1911: He came actively in politics by the leadership of Mawlana Muhammad Ali. He established M.M. Ali College at Kagmari, Tangail in 1957 in the honor of Mawlana Muhammad Ali.

1913-15: He joined in the terrorist movement but left that after joining in various types of activities.

1917-18: He joined in the historic ‘Resmi Rumal Movement’ and went for Hajj for the first time.

1919: Joined the Congress and went jail for the first time. Then he met ‘Deshbondhu Chittoranjon Das’ & stayed under his super vision till 1925.

1920: Along with Deshbondhu Chittoranjon Das’s movement & Bengal Pact, he joined in political activities. Then he got married with Alema Khatun, from Birnagar village of Panchbibi Thana in Jaypurhat District.

1921-23: Joined the movements of Khilafot & non co-operation. That’s why he was sent to jail. After that he joined the north Bengal relief camp with chancellor Profullo Chandra Roy & Netaji Suvash Chandra Basu and got attention of all.

1924: Organized farmers & laborers of Asam & East Bengal since 1919 & arranged the historic ‘Krishok-Proja Conference’ in Vasanchor of Asam. Then he got the title ‘BHASHANI’ from here. This conference played a vital role in ‘Bangla Asam Politics’.

1925-27: His conference made agitation against Jamindar & Mahajon of Asam & East Bengal.

1928: Joined the Khilafot movement of Calcutta.

1929: Arranged his conference for the 2nd time at Vasanchar, which arousing conference played a big role in the act, composed for the citizen.

1930: Joined the conference of congress & disagreed with them.

1931:
Came to Tangail from Asam with flood relief. Mixed up with the Maharaja of Santosh who occupied the ‘Wakf State’ by force.

1932: Being fired from Mymensingh arranged ‘Krishok-Proja Conference’ in Kaokhola field at Sirajgonj and fired from Pabna too.

1933-34: Arranged farmer conference at Asam’s Vasanchar in 1933 & at charabari in 1934. Then stand against feudalism in Asam & East Bengal.

1935: joined the conference of revolutionary Alem’s at Amruhat in North India & came close to Allama Azad Sobhani.

1936: Left congress & joined in the Muslim League. He was made the chairman of Asam. Then went to Al-Ajhar University at Egypt with Allama Azad Sobhani.

1937: Took the lead of agitation against the notorious ‘line custom’. Lead the agitation till he left for Asam in 1947.

1938: Farmer conference at Baropeta & Mangal-doi in Asam. And also at Gaibandha of East Bengal.

1939: Emphasized the activities of Muslim League.

1940: Joined the Lahor conference of Muslim league as the chairman of Asam sub-continent. He played an important role in the composition of Pakistan Proposal. Then he went to the Holy Hajj for the 2nd time.

1941-43: Lead the agitation against line custom & Pakistan agitation simultaneously till 1947.

1944: Held conference of Muslim League at Baropeta in Asam.

1945: Rapid tour in Asam & East Bengal.

1946: Agitation for election to form independent Pakistan. Fighting for the rights of the homeless people of Asam. Farmers conference held in Porabari, Tangail.

1948: Supporting Bangla language in the lacerative conference of East Bengal held in 17th march. Formed 1st opposition party of Pakistan. Started the publication of weekly ‘Ittefaq’.

1949: Formed ‘Al Muslim League’ & was the chairman. Lead the agitation against the scarcity and rising of food price. He was sent to jail too. Started forming opposition party agitation in Pakistan mainly in East Bengal.

1950-51: Sent to jail. He started various activities for muslim league.

1952: joined the All Parties central langrage movement council as chairman. For being Imam of ‘Gaybana Janaja’ in 22nd February sent to jail in 23 february.

1953: Sent free in April. Formed ‘Zukto Front’ in December.

1954: Tour to Europe for joining the world peace conference. He was prohibited to return homeland by the Govt.

1955: Returned the homeland in 25 April. The historic gathering in polton for the self-government for east Bengal in june 17. Renaming ‘Al Muslim League’ to ‘Al workers conference’ in November in Kagmari.

1956:
Agitation against the proposal constitution leading in the saturation rally. Agitation against the allys for the agitation aggression in Egypt. Formation of Farmer Committee in the conference of Fulchori Ghat.

1957: The historic kagmari conference held on 7 & 8 February. Historic ‘Asslamu Alaikum’ declaration. Resigned from Awami League due to confliction in march. Formation of the nation Awami Party. Starving position for food, self governance and foreign policy.

1958-62: Sent to jail on defense act & Released in 1962.

1963: Tour to China. Declaration of the act disobeying agitation.

1964: Joining in the world peace conference in Havana. Started the activities of National Awami Party again.

1965: Joined Miss Fatima Jinnah on the agitation against Ayub Khan. Keeping an Important role of patriotism in the Pakistan-India war.

1966: The great ’14 dafa dabi’ aroused for NAP by him.

1967: NAP being divided in Rangpur.

1968: ‘DABI SAPTAHA’ observed for arousing 10 dafa dabi. Surrounding agitation called for the declaration of Ayub Khan. Governor house surrounded & Hartal declared by Ayub Khan.

1969: The ‘Gol Table Meeting’ called by Ayub Khan was boycott. The fall of Ayub. The great farmer gathering held in Shahpur.

1970: The historic farmer gathering held at Santosh, in 19 January. Farmer gathering at Tabateksing in Pakistan. Agitation against corruption in June. Announcement against Pakistan at Palton in 23 November. ‘Independent East Pakistan’ announcement in 4 December, this historic speech: “Lakum dinukum walyadin” at opening ceremony of Santosh Darbar Hall(8 December). Announced the construction of Santosh Islamic University. All kind of election boycott.

1971: 5dafa dabi announced to form independent & rove-reign Bangladesh according to Lahore proposal in 7 January. All party occupied meeting held at Santosh Darbar hall in 9 January. Visited the whole country to create public opinion on the issue of independent Bangladesh. Assigning all to stay strict on the issue of independence. Pak army set fire on Mawlana Bhashani’s house in Santosh and Binfoyre in 4&6 april. He crossed border through Rowmari and went to India in 16 April & stayed there for the agitation of independence.

1972:
Returning to the homeland weekly ‘Haq Katha’ published which was agitating. First public gathering at palton in independent Bangladesh held. Asked to boycott Indian product. Introduced to agitation against Awami unruly. All Bengl youth gathering in December.

1973: Starvation for increasing food price and other issues. Act disobeying agitation.

1974: Starvation rally called. Agitation against famine. Stayed inside his house. Santosh Islamic university starts academically. ‘Hukumate Rabbani’ committee formed.

1975: Construction of Islamic university started. Supported army-civilian revolution.

1976: Rapid visits in the border areas in January & February. Protest against Indian aggression. In 27 February he fell seriously ill in Khulna. Then called for ‘Farakka Rally’ and gave the lead from 16 May. Went & stayed in London in August & September. Established ‘Khoda-e-Khedmatgar’ in October. Delivered his last speech at Santosh Darbar Hall in 13 November in the gathering of ‘Khoda-e-Khedmatgar’. Left his last breath at DMCH cabin no: 09 in 17 November.
